Wall Painting in a Typhoon

A Calling

Michelangelo was called by the Pope to paint the Sistine Chapel in Rome, James M. Whistler to do the golden Peacock Room in the London home of Frederick R. Leyland. I was called to KoenJi, to do a toilet.

Each to his own ability of course.

And as everyone knows, there is more to a toilet that just the toilet. There is also the wall outside the toilet.

.

There are also the people in front of that wall.

And these people run "Typhoon." It is the best little drinking and eating place I have ever been in. (And not expensive either)

Typhoon, about a 3 1/2 minute walk from Koenji station on The Sobu Sen, outside Shijuku in Tokyo, Japan.

Give them a call (in Tokyo 3316-2540) or just drop on by any evening except Wednesday, as they are closed on Wednesdays.
